Treat your mum, nan or even great gran with a delicious Afternoon Tea for Two. Lots of yummy goodies, sandwiches, cakes and of course, scones, cream and jam (cream first please!!).
We are open for Afternoon Tea from 12 to 5pm every day next week.
24 hours notice required as it’s all freshly made.
Well Coronavirus is wreaking havoc with Six Nations but we’re continuing with our weekly specials reflecting each of the countries in the tournament PLUS weekly drinks specials to go with our food specials. Call 01404 814060, FB us or pop in to book your table today.
We always have a weekly specials board at the Volunteer Inn, and we love to create something themed when we can.
6th June marks the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. This is the day, in 1944, when over 160,000 Allied troops landed in France to fight Germany on the Normany beaches in Operation Overlord.
Over 5000 ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the troops during the invasion, which allowed the Allies to begin the liberation of Western Europe. More than 9,000 Allied soldiers were killed or wounded during the invasion and many thousands of civilians also lost their lives.
To mark this anniversary, the Volunteer has created a special D-Day menu. You’ll be able to enjoy spam fritters, and wartime hot pot!
