    The Volunteer Inn is in!

If you haven’t already heard the good news we have been selected again in The Good Beer Guide by CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale.

This is the book for beer lovers. It has listings for 4,500 pubs across the UK, and all entries have been selected by CAMRA members.

The book also has comprehensive info on breweries in the UK, all 1,800 of them! The foreword is by Prof Brian Cox (who has been working with JW Lees in Manchester to brew his ‘Cosmic Brew’ beer!).

The Volunteer is thrilled to once again feature in CAMRA‘s Good Beer Guide for 2019.

Regulars will know that we are dedicated to offering great choices to real ale lovers; from local brewers Otter Brewery to Cornish giants St Austell Brewery.

Exmoor Ales, Exeter Brewery, Salcombe Brewery, Hanlons Brewery, Bays Brewery and Branscombe Vale Brewery have all featured at the bar. For our weekly guest beers, visit our Specials page.

We’re delighted that the London has also been included in the Guide; it’s unusual for two pubs from a small town to make it into the book, so well done to Ottery St Mary once again!

Thanks to everyone who enjoys a pint at the Volley – cheers.
