Three beers will be popping up at the Volly:

Small Batch Brew Hop in the DockHop in the Dock: brewed by Adam Lumb. An English ale, amber in colour, brewed 50/50 from two classic malts – Maris Otter Pale and Cornish Gold. Flavours of cherry, pine, vanilla and peach, we’re told!

Small Batch Brew Divine InspirationDivine Inspiration: a collaboration between the Bath Ales and St Austell brewing teams. A session pale ale to challenge your taste buds, brewed using Columbus, Chinook, Rakau and 7270 hops to give fruit and pine flavours.

Small Batch Brew The Fifth AmendmentThe Fifth Amendment; brewed by Bryan Day, this is a distinct amber-coloured American style ale using Maris Otter, Crystal and Oat malts combined with American hops and yeast. Tastes of malt biscuit and blackcurrant lead through to orange, citrus and tropical fruits.

We hope everyone has been enjoying the Small Batch Brews from St Austell Brewery. We think they must be having fun making up the names – Raisins to be Cheerful being one of our faves.

They have been a real mix of seasonal flavours, Christmas ales, pale ales, festival favourites, tastes from the South West and overseas, including Slovenia and Australia.

1972 celebrated Trade Quality Brewer Mervyn Westaway, who has been with the brewery for nearly 45 years. Fruity red ale Ruby Jack was brewed in honour of C19th World heavyweight boxing champion from Helston, Bob Fitzsimmons, known as Ruby Robert.

The good news is that the brewery will be releasing small amounts of the Season Three brews prior to the launch of Season Four. So if you had any particular favourites, look out for them when you visit. All available on draught.
