A little about us

If you’re looking for a town pub with traditional values, you’ll find a warm welcome at the Volunteer Inn in the heart of Ottery St Mary, East Devon.

Your hosts are Mike and Jacqui Down, who became proud proprietors of the Volunteer Inn in February 2012. Since then, they have undertaken significant refurbishment to bring the pub bang up to date with its facilities, whilst retaining the essential character of the establishment.

Whether you’re visiting the town, have recently moved to the area or you’re already one of our regular customers, we are pleased that you have chosen the Volunteer Inn and we look forward to welcoming you.
