Guest Chefs June & July

Our regulars will know that Mike & Jacqui are disappearing to New Zealand on June 6th to catch up with Haydon. Have a great trip, folks!

While Charlotte will be cooking during the week, we have taken this opportunity to invite some fantastic local chefs to cook at the Volly. All three have worked at River Cottage and we’re sure you’ll love their cooking.

Robin Rea

Robin Rea from Rusty Pig is first up. Robin is a familiar face in the town, and his ethical approach to food and the provenance of ingredients has garnered much praise.

Robin will be cooking on:

• Friday June 9th
• Sunday June 11th
• Friday June 16th
• Sunday June 18th

(Please note the kitchen is closed on June 12th).

 Tim Maddams

Private chef and TV personality, Tim Maddams uses hunting, fishing and foraging as cornerstones of his cooking. Tim also writes for Devon Life and the Ecologist.

Tim will be cooking on:

• Friday June 23rd
• Saturday June 24th
• Sunday June 25th
• Friday June 30th
• Saturday July 1st
• Sunday July 2nd

Joe Draper

The final guest chef is consultant chef and private dining specialist, Joe Draper whose own preference is for uncomplicated food with great flavours.

Joe will be cooking on:

• Friday July 7th
• Saturday July 8th
• Sunday July 9th

For a little extra treat, Mike’s mum Jenny (from the Howley Tavern in Chard) will be cooking over the weekend 14th to 16th July.

Mike and Jacqui will return on July 19th.
