Covid-19 Update 30th June

Although many pubs are set to open on July 4th we have decided now is not the right time for the Volley.

Please read the letter from Mike & Jacqui explaining why we’ve taken this decision.

Our delivery service is continuing for the timebeing.

New Delivery Menu

Hello everyone, we hope that you are all staying safe during these worrying times!

With the support and consultation of the Ottery Volunteer Support Scheme we have devised  a new, improved & reduced price delivery menu.

We are taking all the protocols serious and from prep to delivery, food & hygiene standards are being followed to keep the volunteers and your families safe.

Please, when we are delivering the food to you, wait until our volunteer has knocked and moved back to a safe distance before opening your door.

TO PLACE AN ORDER PLEASE CALL US ON 01404 814060

We thank you for your continued support. Together we can beat this.

We are still open

WE ARE STILL OPEN

After the PM has made his daily speech about COVID 19 we would like to keep all our customers up to date.

We’d like to reassure all our guests we are following the appropriate expert advice laid out by government on how a business should prepare, react and operate in this current time. This includes continuing to promote excellent hygiene practices across all areas of the pub, as well as following our stringent cleaning measures so we can maintain our high standards of cleanliness.

We are frequently reminding our team members of the expert advice and information provided by the NHS and Public Health England on the Covid – 19 virus. This includes continuing to promote good hygiene across all aspects of daily working practices and for them to be aware of what steps they should take if they believe they’re experiencing any symptoms. Out of respect for our teams and fellow guests, we ask everyone to follow the same advice.

We’d like to thank you all for the support during this time and remind our guests we currently remain open for business as usual, and that we look forward to seeing you all as normal.

Good Beer Guide

The Volunteer Inn is in!

If you haven’t already heard the good news we have been selected again in The Good Beer Guide by CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale.

This is the book for beer lovers. It has listings for 4,500 pubs across the UK, and all entries have been selected by CAMRA members.

The book also has comprehensive info on breweries in the UK, all 1,800 of them! The foreword is by Prof Brian Cox (who has been working with JW Lees in Manchester to brew his ‘Cosmic Brew’ beer!).

You can buy your copy of the Good Beer Guide online here
